Impact Framework

At Nested Ventures our approach is to harness the power of investment capital to actively contribute improvements in people's lives and the health of the environment. To this end we follow the 'impact principles' as detailed below.

In 2019 a group of institutional investors and private investors got together to put forth 'The Operating Principles of Impact Management' and set out nine principles of investing which serve as a framework for investors.

These are known as Impact Principles and are:

The signatories to the Impact Principles are impact investors that publicly demonstrate their commitment to implementing a global standard for managing investments for impact. The Impact Principles assist investors in identifying investments that are being managed for impact and help reduce the dilution of the term 'impact' in the marketplace.

A critical component for ensuring positive impact outcome is to have a robust measurement, tracking and reporting system in place.

Our endeavour is to focus on the economic, environmental, and social impacts of businesses as they relate to sustainable development, thereby taking into account the interests of a broader group of stakeholders beyond investors.

We at Nested Ventures are adopting best practices in reporting as set out in the GRI and SASB guidelines.
